Class Information
Beginning Treble Chorus Biography:

This class is open to students who sing soprano or alto and are new to high school chorus. In this class, students will sing music from a broad range of styles (including classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, Broadway, etc.) while focusing on techniques such as tone, pitch, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, etc. Strong emphasis will be given to sight-reading and ear training.
Intermediate Mixed Chorus Biography:

This class is open to students who sing soprano and alto who have completed at least one year in high school chorus. They are joined by tenors and basses who are new to high school chorus. In this class, students will sing music from a broad range of styles (including classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, Broadway, etc.) while focusing on techniques such as tone, pitch, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, etc. Strong emphasis will be placed on sight-reading and ear training.
Advanced Treble Chorus Biography:

This class is open to students who sing soprano and alto. In this class, students will sing music from a broad range of styles (including classical, jazz, pop, contemporary, Broadway, etc.) while focusing on techniques such as tone, pitch, rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, articulation, etc. Strong emphasis will be placed on sight-reading and ear training. Students in this class will have several required extracurricular activities throughout the year.
Mastery Mixed Chorus Biography:

The Mill Creek High School Mastery Chorus serves as the flagship choral ensemble at Mill Creek High School. Singers are regularly selected for GMEA All-State Chorus, All-State Reading Chorus, District Honor Choir, and the Governor’s Honors Program in Vocal Performance. Additionally, members hold regional and state titles won at GHSA Literary Meets. The choir regularly receives superior ratings in performance and sight-reading at LGPE and other adjudicated competitions/events. The choir has placed in many competitions under its current and former directors. In recent years, the choir has served as the Demonstration Choir for the Georgia ACDA Student Conducting Masterclass (2024), performed at the GMEA In-Service Conference (2025), and the Georgia ACDA Fall Conference (2025). Strong emphasis will be placed on sight-reading and ear training. Students in this class will have several required extracurricular activities throughout the year.
