Happy Tails Therapy Dog Club
About
Welcome to the Mill Creek Happy Tails Therapy Dog Club!
We believe in the profound impact that animals can have on our well-being. The Happy Tails Therapy Dog Club was founded on the principles of compassion, connection, and community, with a mission to enhance the mental and emotional health of our students through the therapeutic power of dogs.
Who We Are
We are a diverse group of students, teachers, and community volunteers who share a passion for dogs and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment at our school. Our club members are trained in handling therapy dogs and understanding their behaviors, ensuring a safe and positive experience for everyone involved.
What We Do
Our club hosts regular therapy sessions where students can interact with our friendly, certified therapy dogs. These sessions provide a calming and joyful experience, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness. We also organize educational workshops, community outreach programs, and special events that promote the benefits of animal-assisted therapy.
Our Mission
- Support Mental Health: By offering regular dog therapy sessions, we aim to create a sanctuary where students can relax, unwind, and experience the unconditional love that therapy dogs provide.
- Foster Connections: Our club encourages students to connect not only with the dogs but also with each other, building a sense of community and mutual support.
- Promote Awareness: Through our events and programs, we strive to educate our school and the broader community about the benefits of animal-assisted therapy and the importance of mental health.
